DATUM ENTOURAGE FINAL

I really liked the pattern that was created by including my drawn pattern in my 3D model of Datum and I wanted to retain that visual aspect in my entourage presentation. I wanted to create a foreign and intergalactic experience that is engaging and beautiful. The overlay of constellations accentuates the original markings on my datum model but also integrates the model to the setting.

FIGURE GROUND ENTOURAGE FINAL

I used the levels and tiered nature of my 3D model to make into some sort of set or prop for a performance. The levels make it interesting and visually stimulating as well as providing an artificial and otherwise inaccessible terrain.

HIERARCHY ENTOURAGE FINAL

I wanted to give an image of an old style video game of very simple construction, hence the line work and basic images, but I do like the simplicity of it. In my mind I see the beams moving with the distribution of weight, so when one of the characters moves, so does it. The gems were a home made addition to add a sense of 'gamer' to the image.

CONTRAST ENTOURAGE FINAL

I wanted the construction of this image to remain simple and monochromatic to reflect the line work of my model. The horizontal lines within the 'bullet' are effective in giving indications of movement and a certain sleekness.

PROPORTION/COMPOSITION ENTOURAGE FINAL

In this I have explored the unlimited possibilities that are available when you are creating your own reality. I did however, retain certain aspects of consistencies of subject from Dali's work such as animal forms and the sky, with a little less disfiguration of the subjects.

When looking at my models for Proportion I was reminded of, and inspired by, the surreal work of Salvador Dali. My original entourage concept was to take the egyptian pyramids and flip them into a contemporary adaptation of an ancient structure. However, my concept evolved to embrace the full surreal aspect of Dali's influence in my own interpretation.

RHYTHM/REPETITION ENTOURAGE FINAL

My Rhythm/Repetition final is a conceptual view of a building, focussing on light, space and diminution to give the structure an interesting and engaging facade.

ASYMMETRY ENTOURAGE FINAL

My entourage of the Asymmetry design principle is a representation of a combination of abseiling and rock climbing, intended for either training or recreational purposes.

Final Image Choices

 Assymetry

Figure Ground
 Hierarchy
 Proportion
Rhythm
These are multiple views from the final models I have created. I wanted to give a good representation of the dimensions and possibilities presented by the structures and I will now have to choose a final view in which to base my entourage images on.
